Can I ask if there are any plans to upgrade footpaths and bridle ways- especially the bridle way down to the lake which connects to the Greenway. It has been almost impassable for much of the winter forcing walkers and cyclists to use roads instead. It is a key part of village infrastructure.

I think you know we tried before and the landowner was the stumbling block last time. This hasn’t changed so I doubt we could make anymore progress.

A bit defeatist if I may say so. I am sure some improvement must be possible to enable better access. Even a bit of gravel on the worst bits would help. A lot of local people use that path.

As a long term project would the council consider looking at a village ground source heat pump system like they have done at Swaffam Prior in Cambridgeshire ? It seems we are in a similar position that they we in and they have managed to get large grants to get it up and running .
