Women’s Cycle Race to Pass Through GA

The Biggest Women’s Cycling Race in the world will pass through Great Addington on 7th June this year around lunchtime.
It will be first leg of this year’s race which will start in Daventry between 10:30-11 and finish in Kettering between 2-3pm. The highlights of the race will be featured on ITV each day.
We don’t have the estimated timings yet but we do have the route which is attached.   There will be a programme of rolling road closures along the route for about 15-30 minutes before the riders come through, managed by the Police, so the local disruption should be minimal. It should also avoid key school times.
Approximately 120 of the best professional women cyclists in the world will enter Great Addington along Ringstead Road, round the corner at The Hare & Hounds to climb Main Street before turning left at the Church and along Cranford Road to General’s Corner and on to Finedon. If you can, please line the route through the village and give the riders a cheer and a wave.
