Voter ID for the election of a new Police Fire and Crime Commissioner
The election of a new Police Fire and Crime Commissioner (PFCC) for Northamptonshire takes place on Thursday 2 May 2024. This is the first countywide election where voters will be required to show photo identification when voting at a polling station. You can use a passport, photo driving licence and certain other forms of ID (see The Electoral Commission for full details).
If a voter does not have any of the acceptable forms of Voter ID they can apply for a free Voter Authority Certificate (VAC). The deadline to apply for a VAC for the elections on 2 May is 1700 on Wednesday 24 April 2024 (you can do this via the Electoral Commission link above). Please tell family, friends and neighbours about Voter ID.
